Sasha's Loroux's First Birthday December 7, 2010

My beautiful Sasha has been nothing but a true pleasure filled with love, loyalty and affection. She wags her entire body when she is happy...you just hear swish, swish, swish which gets faster and faster as you approach her. She really loves to snuggle too. I wake up wearing a live fur coat many mornings. She tucks her little nose into the nape of my neck as though she is still with her real mommy. I simply adore her! = ) Thank you to her birth mommy Lady, who was kind enough to let me raise her pup.

Happy Thanksgiving for those of you who celebrate! I hope everyone has a great day!! For those of you who don't .... have a great day too! =)

It felt like my heart shattered into a million little pieces when I heard the news about the sudden passing of our beloved figurative artist Hannie Sarris-Hulstein, 57 years young. My thoughts and prayers are with her wonderful children and loving husband in the Netherlands and to all of those around the world whose hearts and lives she has touched so profoundly.

Hannie was truly the epitome of pure elegance. Her caring and loving energy transcended the world through her kind words, giving spirit, and genuine thoughtfulness towards everyone she came in contact with. Her ethereal sculptural work was delicate and simply beautiful, emulating her inner grace with every stroke of the palely blushed colors in which she loved to work. She gave us a peek deep inside her soul creating pieces with beautifully pensive faces, soulful eyes, adorned in gossamer, lace and genuine love. The tender nuances in her work captured our hearts, lent beauty to our eyes, and left us breathless. Her work was truly reflective of a gentle and loving human being.

To me, Hannie Sarris was beyond beautiful. I thank you my dear Hannie, for all of your kind words, your love and support, and your inspirational work that will forever be here to remind us all of your warmth and innermost beauty.

I will miss my mentor, my kind and gentle friend who captured the world with her stunning and breath taking work with the essence of her soul. Thank you again my dear sweet Hannie, you will forever be a part of my heart and of my work. I know you have wandered off to another grand forest where all the beautiful fairy's gather and fly freely.

My Sweet Sasha Loroux!

 
  Meet my new sweet puppy Sasha. She is the most precious puppy one could ever ask for! She is almost 14 weeks old and is a very fun loving Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel and Poodle mix). Sasha has all red hair except a tiny bit of cream as though she forgot to lick milk off  her lower lip and just a tiny little spot of cream on her chest. She has a Cocker Spaniel coat with lovely wisps of feathering and has eye lashes like Bambi!   Her young and lively spirit has brought a lot of warmth and laughter to my home. Just to watch her frolic and romp about playing with her toys or her little bits of food, puts a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. She tumbles and rolls and flops herself down like she is stuffed with beans. I feel so lucky to have her! Isn't she a doll?
